| Ardkinglas and Benmore Botanic Gardens |
In June 2019 we had a visit to Ardkinglas Historic Mansion House. This Category A listed country house lies on the shores of Loch Fyne, near the village of Cairndow. It was built in the early 20th century to the designs of Robert Lorimer. ( www.ardkinglas.com) In the afternoon the coach took us onto the colourful Benmore Botanic Gardens, formerly known as the Younger Botanic Garden, on the Cowal peninsula. (www.rbge.org.uk) |
