You have reached the home page of the Arts Society Bearsden & Milngavie.  Welcome!

The Arts Society  (formerly the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies, or NADFAS) was founded in 1968 by Patricia Fay as a leading arts charity, to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, whilst promoting the conservation of our artistic heritage. Its headquarters are in London, and it now has 360 member societies in the UK and mainland Europe.

Our Society came into existence in 2007 as the Bearsden and Milngavie Decorative and Fine Arts Society before changing to its current name ten years later.  Our members are able to enjoy inspiring lectures given by top experts drawn from the parent society’s Directory of 365 accredited lecturers who are leading experts in their respective fields.

Our lecture meetings are held at 2pm (tea and coffee served from 1.30pm) in the afternoon of the second Monday in the month, between September and June,  in the Halls of New Kilpatrick Parish Church, Bearsden.

We may also arrange specialist study days and visits, and take part in the preservation of our artistic heritage through various volunteering schemes.
